Ms. Thompson is a registered Patent Attorney admitted to practice before the U. S. Patent and Trademark Office and to practice law in State Courts in Michigan and Illinois.
Prior to becoming a patent attorney, she worked in manufacturing. Since becoming a patent attorney, she has worked both in law firms and in-house as a patent attorney and patent counsel. Her practice consists primarily in drafting and prosecuting patent applications, providing legal opinions on potential infringement and freedom-to-operate, and managing patent and trademark portfolios. She practices in various technical arts including the mechanical and electro-mechanical arts.
